Medical Optical Instruments Factory of Shanghai Medical Instruments Co., Ltd (SMOIF) was founded in October 1937, located in Min-Hang District, Shanghai, specializing in manufacturing four series of medical optical instruments: electronic endoscopes, flexible endoscopes, rigid endoscopes and operation microscopes.

SMOIF is an advanced enterprise of its kind in China with the largest production scale, the most sophisticated equipment and in particular the technology of manufacturing medical fiber-scope which occupies first place in China. SMOIF is also the first to develop both flexible endoscopes and rigid endoscopes in China. SMOIF has the biggest shares of medical endo-scope in the domestic market and lots of products have been exported to Europe, America, Mideast, Southeast Asia and Africa.

The employees in SMOIF are experienced and knowledgeable in endoscopes through the development and production for over many years and who are now making extensive research & development efforts for it. SMOIF has a nationwide network of distributors and several overseas sole agencies, providing quality repair and sales of the endoscopes and instruments of SMOIF.
